Hi Everyone,

Sorry I haven't done a blog for a while but I've just started to train again so haven't had a great deal to write about. I'm getting back into the swing of things again.

I enjoyed the club ride a week gone Saturday from Castle Eden to the cafe at Thorpe Thewles and back. There was a good turnout with over 30 riders and it was good to see everyone again. It was great to see how some of the younger riders had improved, especially Roshan who was trying to sprint away from me!!! I hear he has had some good rides at League 2000. Well done Roshan.

Is anyone going through to watch the finish of stage 2 of The Tour of Britain in Gateshead on Sunday? We are planning to ride through if anyone fancies it. Its a round trip of about 30 mile. We will leave about 11.30am. The finish is scheduled at 1.50pm but we need to check it out on British Cycling website nearer the weekend.

Last weekend Josh M, Harry and Charlie T and Josh T represented the North East at the UK Schools games but I'm not sure how they got on. Josh will probably tell us more about that.

Cyclo-Cross started last Sunday at Hawes but I don't have any results. I know some of the Hawks did the Durham Big Ride. I have done the last 2 and really enjoyed them. Well done to all who competed.

Hope everyone is enjoying beng back to school!!! I went to the gym when it was over to take it out on the weights and the treadmill!!!
