Allenheads Biking Weekend
Submitted by joe mann on 5 October 2010 - 9:22pm.Just to let every one know we had a great weekend at Allenheads last weekend organised by Hetton Hawks. On the Saturday we did mountain biking, through streams and rivers, over rocks and mountains, through fields and moors. The day stayed dry for us, but we still got soaked going through with the mud and rivers. On the Sunday, rainy Sunday, that is, we did a road ride. I got brain freeze with riding through the rain :( A BIG THANX to Theresa for making us our grub :) It was dead funny cause John and Tony had to share a bunk bed, by the way if anyone's interested Tony was on top. HAHA.

Joes July Blog
Submitted by joe mann on 19 July 2010 - 8:03pm.I havent done a blog for some time now, sorry, but I have been doing all sorts...............I've outgrown my road bike now, so I'm on my best ever behaviour at home, I've got my eyes on a nice bike. ££££££££. I only have a couple of CDNW races to do in the league, I've only did 1 National, the 3 day North West tour, but doing the CDNW races instead. I came off my bike a few weeks ago doing a road race and even managed 3 days off school becuase of it :) I went to the hospital and they said I'd bruised my knee bone, yip I guessed that with the pain I had.
Joes Blog
Submitted by joe mann on 15 May 2010 - 3:16pm.Its been quite some time since I did a blog. I've been riding my little legs off doing races at Croft and CDNW. Last Saturday I did a race at Salt Ayre (CDNW) and came 9th, mind you there were 44 U14s in my race, first we did a 5 lap race, then 20 lap race, I was knackered. There were 2 crashes, I managed to ride around them both, but the first crash the ambulance was called, the second were grazes. I think I may have rode over a face of some one in the first crash, but it couldnt be avoided.

Middleton Bank Race
Submitted by joe mann on 18 April 2010 - 9:27pm.Saturdays training session was a good one, loads of kids turned out as usual. Today, Sunday was an early rise. We went to the Middleton Bank Classic which was put on by Hetton Hawks, John D. There were about 80 riders there and me and Elliot too. It was great being led out along to the start line behind the motor bikes and the official cars, riding in a great big long bunch, me and Elliot were allowed to join on the back of the bunch for the first lap, each lap being 9 miles of hills and more hills.
