Last Friday night: Leazes Park crits. Good turn with the Hawks.
Last Saturday: British Cycling Northern Omnium Series @ Manchester Velodrome. Thomas and Emma representing the Hawks and doing a very good job of it aswell!
Last Sunday: Newcastle Phoenix Races @ Hetton: Couldn’t go as doing History Project. But heard it was cold, rainy and windy!
Last Monday night: BC Race @ Southbank, Middlesbrough. Usual suspects.

This weekend was the North West Youth Tour. Matthew, Joe, Emma and Thomas were representing the Hawks. There were 5 events over 3 days - 1 time trial and 4 races.
All the Hawks were close to or involved in a crash, but Thomas and his bike came off worse. Joe and Matty were behind a crash on Sunday, Emma hit a barrier on Saturday on the last lap and Thomas came off on Sunday on the last lap. Thanks to Jamie, and 2 hours worth of bike repairs and Emma's wheels, he was able to ride and finished 3rd in Monday's race.

Hope you are enjoying the lovely weather. I am as I’m out in the garden sunbathing! I feel like Thomas & Emma’s secretary as once again, I’m writing about them. At the moment, they are in sunny Dundee doing a track race. It’s Thomas' first race on the track but as I’ve heard, he seems to be doing well.
Results-- Overall- Thomas came 3rd boy and Emma was 1st Girl.
Kieron- Emma 1st in her group. Thomas 3rd in his group.
And more results later.

Submitted by katie m on 9 April 2010 - 12:55pm.As it's been half term, I've been out on my bike a bit with Thomas, Emma and Jamie (or my dad). We've been up to Ponteland a couple of days. I still can't keep up with them! On Tuesday, we went up to Ponteland again. It was a tough ride for all of us I think, as it was very windy and Jamie took us up Saltwick Hill. It's quite a small hill, but it drags. Lucky for me, there's a downhill on the other side.

Submitted by katie m on 2 April 2010 - 4:06pm.Hiya. I've just got back for Ponteland with Emma B, Thomas M and my dad. We done 22 miles and had to have a few stops as we didn't really know where we were going! Anyway, I actually enjoyed it.
Last weekend it was the British Cycling Youth Circuit Race at Yarborough on Saturday and the Riverside Stadium Race on Sunday. I didn't go on Sunday but I did on Saturday and it was a good race. Thomas and Emma raced U12. Thomas was 3rd and Emma 9th.
I also got into the Science course and might be getting a laptop, but the telly has just broke so maybe I won't get one straight away!
